You may be facing real-life challenges like grief, life transitions, stress, self-esteem, or relationship issues. My goal is to help you better understand and express yourself, gain valuable insight, offer grace for where you are, and empower you to make meaningful changes—whether within yourself or your environment.
I create a place for clients where they feel accepted and safe to explore their true selves. I believe the healing relationship between counselor and client requires transparency and trust. I work to offer support and be a “heart with ears” to every client. As every individual is different, I will tailor my approach to meet your unique needs. Using a wholistic perspective I will address your emotional, spiritual, and physical health so we can heal the “whole” of you.
I always begin by hearing your story so we can uncover the root of your concerns. Together, we’ll explore what may be impacting you—whether it’s trauma, stress, fear, or something else. Using motivational interviewing, I’ll help you see the potential within yourself, guiding you to take the lead in your journey. We’ll set attainable goals and work together to identify the steps to get there, exploring your desires and the actions you're taking to achieve them.
My Experience
I am a graduate of North Carolina A&T University, where I completed a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with certifications in Rehabilitation Counseling and Behavioral Addictions. I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Hampton University and have been board-certified in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center since 2014. With over 10 years of experience working with clients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, I assist them on their unique journeys and various behavioral health concerns.
