Dionne describes how she supports clients in therapy and how to measure your progress.

Dionne P., MS, LCMHCA, LCASA, BSN, PMH-BC

I seek to create a place for clients where they feel accepted and safe to explore their true selves. I believe the healing relationship between counselor and client requires transparency and trust, and I work to offer support and be a “heart with ears” to each person.

You may be dealing with Real Life issues such as grief and loss, stress & life transition, self-esteem, and relationship conflict issues. I seek to assist clients to understand and express themselves more fully, gain insight, give grace for current behaviors, and make changes to themselves or their environment.

As every individual is different, I will tailor my approach to meet your unique needs. Using a wholistic perspective I will address your emotional, spiritual, and physical health so we can heal the “whole” of you. I also utilize an eclectic approach of therapy modalities: Reality/Choice, Narrative, Solution and Person Centered theories to facilitate healing & change.

My Experience

I am a graduate of North Carolina A & T University, completing a Masters of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a certification in Rehabilitation Counseling and Behavioral Addictions. I hold a bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing from Hampton University and have been board-certified in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center since 2014. I have 9+ years of experience working with clients in inpatient and outpatient settings, assisting them on their specific journey with substance and/or varying behavioral health concerns.

When I’m not in therapist mode, I’m...

enjoying time with my family, reading, traveling and watching reality tv.
