Avianna introduces herself and details who she loves to work with and her therapy style!
Avianna H., MSW, LCSW-A
Hi, there! I'm so happy you're here. Young adulthood and the 20 to 30-somethings can be a real rollercoaster of life transitions. These defining moments with the ups and downs can feel stressful while trying to figure out who you really are in the midst of it all. I specialize in assisting clients transitioning from college, post-collegiate sports, and the workforce to everything in between. I am here to help you crush the stress, figure out what's next, and take the ultimate control of your life.
I am dedicated to giving my clients a safe, supportive space where they can explore and establish themselves. I'd like to extend an invitation for us to work together to identify your strengths, tackle the challenges you're facing, and develop a self-driven plan to achieve your goals. As a compassionate and non-judgmental clinician, I am here to truly listen and honor your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
In our sessions, we can work together to identify patterns, develop effective coping strategies, and build resilience. I pull from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Empowerment Practice, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused modalities to support my clients experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma to move through life adjustments and relational challenges. If you're ready to take the first step towards healing and growth, I'd be honored to walk alongside you on this journey.
My Experience
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) in North Carolina. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology with a minor in Public Health from Queens University of Charlotte. I obtained my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Winthrop University.
I have worked in hospitals with survivors of domestic violence and with veterans experiencing severe and persistent mental illness. I have extensive experience working with marginalized populations including women, people of color, and the LGBTQIA+ community.
When I’m not in therapist mode, I’m…
Baking, catching up with friends, curating a bomb playlist, watching a psychological thriller on Netflix, or lifting heavy weights in the gym.
