Simone B. M. Ed PSC LCMHC
If you’ve gotten this far, you’re serious about finding some relief and understanding. I look forward to helping you, listening to you, and empowering you to be your best self. I have worked with individuals, couples, groups, and families in school, private, and community settings. I am passionate about helping folks who are marginalized- women, people of color, the LGBTQIA+ community. I am a kind, caring, and nonjudgmental ear that’s here to hold space for you. I’m here to help you on your healing journey and give you tools to get to a better place.
Therapy is a collaborative experience between the therapist and the client, I look forward to doing the work together. If you’re a person struggling with anxiety, setting boundaries, depression, self-esteem, trauma, family issues, or that toxic work environment, it can get better. It gets better when you start the journey to learning more about yourself and therapy helps with this. To experience something new, you must learn a new way of tackling life.
My Experience
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Professional School Counselor. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in History from Howard University and my Masters in Counselor Education from Louisiana State University. I’ve gained my clinical experience in a variety of setting in person and virtual-K-12, college settings, nonprofit, and private practice. I have worked with a range of ages- preteens to adults, and I specialize in Anxiety, Depression, Helping Professionals, Relationships, Self-Esteem, and Trauma (especially workplace).
When I’m not in therapist mode, I’m...
catching up with family and friends, in person or on the phone. I like listening to podcasts, trying new restaurants in Charlotte, going to comedy shows, and binge watching my favorite TV shows.
