Shakeera T., MSW, LCSWA
Are you a senior in college or a recent graduate feeling overwhelmed by the transition into adulthood? Navigating the shift from academia to the professional world can be daunting, and you don't have to do it alone. As an empowerment and resiliency specialist, I specialize in helping young adults in their early 20s to early 30s as they embark on this exciting yet challenging journey. My therapeutic approach is tailored to your individual needs, incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques.
I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings about your future, career choices, relationships, and personal growth. Together, we will work on strategies to manage stress, build resilience, and develop a sense of direction and purpose.
Taking the first step towards therapy can be intimidating, but it's also a sign of strength and self-awareness. If you're ready to start your journey towards a more fulfilling and balanced life, please reach out to schedule a consultation. Let's work together to turn your challenges into opportunities for growth and success.
My Experience
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Associate. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology from the Illustrious North Carolina A&T State University. Then, I achieved my Master’s in Social Work from the Joint Master of Social Work Program as well. I have previous experience in outpatient therapy, ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy, and Family-Centered therapy. My clients may range from 7 to 75 years old, but together we tackle similar struggles such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and life adjustments.
When I’m not in therapist mode, I’m...
Working out, spending time with friends and family, and traveling. I’m also a foodie! I love to find new restaurants and places to enjoy.
