Black Therapist Charlotte

Jennifer R, MSW, LCSWA

Are you someone who is in search of finding your identity? Looking to gain more insight on how to become an independent thinker? Or simply new to therapy? If you answered yes to any of those questions, you might have landed in the right place. As a Detroit native, I am passionate about educating children of all backgrounds on how to best manage stress and anger. I also enjoy working with people of all ages to help them find their voice and navigate through work-life balance, Anxiety, relationships, and Depression.

As your therapist, I will advocate for all my clients whether you're a child, domestic abuse survivor, woman, or man. With that, my modalities of therapy focus on the CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) approach and Person Centered Therapy, catered to center around supporting you. I know finding yourself is hard, but if my approach appeals to you, let’s begin this journey together!

My Experience

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate. I obtained my Bachelor of Social Work from The Johnson C. Smith University.  I also earned my master’s degree in social work from Fordham University, The Jesuit School of New York.

When I’m not in therapist mode, I’m...

I am an avid foodie. I love trying different, new restaurants in town with my friends and family. I also enjoy working out, running, and visiting the beach in my spare time.
