Hannah M., MSW, LCSWA
Right now you are searching for a place where you can exist without judgement. You do not feel safe to be yourself with family/friends or coworkers because you know they’d never accept the real you. As a result, you’re noticing more irritability, sadness, and you’re having a few more glasses of wine to “unwind or relax”. I totally understand the need for release. It’s how we stop all of the feelings. And, if we are being real, feelings are annoying and heavy! However, I have the skills to help you uncover how to become more comfortable dealing with people, situations, and feelings. We will create an experience where you are free to let go and let yourself heal through expression in a safe environment without fear of judgement.
I will help you replace unhealthy coping skills with healthy ones that fit you. I will also teach you how to love yourself in a way that allows you to be comfortable and empowered in any situation. Together, we will build trust and a bond that will allow you to reach your goals quicker. I use a strength-based approach which focuses on how to move forward with your strengths versus focusing on flaws. This approach combined with a healthy dose of accountability and continuous support to remind you of just how strong and capable you are will propel you into healing.
You have a story worth listening to; you are needing some help during this crazy life, and that IS normal. You are worthy of being seen and heard for who you are without an explanation tagged on. Everyone’s journey begins somewhere. If you feel that I may be the right fit for you along that journey, let’s connect and get you started today!
My Experience
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate and obtained both my Bachelors and Masters of Social Work from East Carolina University. I’ve gained my clinical experience from working with people who have anxiety, depression, and who use wine as coping mechanisms. I work hard to be culturally adaptive and enjoy working with adolescents, teens and adults.
When I’m not in therapist mode, I’m...
thrifting around Charlotte, trying out new food or coffee spots, and spending time with my loved ones, going to concerts or having movie marathons.
