Ashlin describes her therapy style and those she works best with.

Ashlin M., MSW, LCSWA

Everything is scattered. Your body and mind feel disconnected as if you are being dragged along your day. Maybe you are not even sure how to describe what you are feeling and want to understand why. All you know is that it is time to go into the past to lighten your present. I aim to meet you where you are and act as a helping guide toward your healing journey. My specialty is working with women and Veterans who struggle with unpacking themselves, honoring their needs, and being present in the now. We can utilize attachment styles, boundaries, love languages, and core values to get to the core of you and who you want to be.

I serve an array of individuals ranging from teens to adults who are experiencing life adjustments and mental struggles. Additionally, I have received specialized training to support individuals dealing with mood and anxiety disorders including OCD and phobia. I implement an individualized, Eclectic style of therapy pulling from components of evidence-based modalities such as CBT, ACT, ERP, and body-centered psychotherapy. In sessions with me, you’ll find a safe, collaborative space that empowers you to fight for the version of you that you deserve. Together, we can explore your inner self, rewrite your story, and ultimately find your peace.

My Experience

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate and obtained my Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. During my MSW and my post-grad career, I therapeutically collaborated with individuals who live with OCD, phobia, trauma/PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other various mental health issues. In addition, I have clinical experience working with human trafficking survivors, victims of crime, immigrants, sexual assault survivors, and veterans.

When I’m not in therapist mode, I’m...

Swimming in the ocean, cuddling my precious pup and co-therapist Clementine, trying a new recipe, or playing table games with friends.
