Asdyane Fraga, Clinical Intern

I genuinely believe that every person has unique strengths and abilities that can help them tackle life's hurdles. Life isn’t easy, but with the right tools and support, we can get through it. When it comes to counseling, I like to take a personalized approach and work together with my clients to figure out their goals, create a plan, and make progress. I use a range of evidence-based modalities, such as person-centered therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions, to adapt to each person's specific needs. This ensures that my clients receive the most effective and appropriate support for their individual circumstances.

My Experience

I'm a Clinical Mental Health Counselor intern pursuing a master's degree at Wake Forest University. I hold a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and I'm also bilingual, speaking English and Spanish. I was born in Cuba and grew up in Spain. Charlotte is now my home. I'm passionate about helping people overcome struggles and reach their full potential. I have experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with ages 6 and up! I'm committed to providing a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space for my clients. I'm also dedicated to my own growth as a counselor, constantly seeking new knowledge and skills to enhance my practice.

When I’m not in therapist mode, I’m...

In my spare time, I love cooking, catching up with friends over FaceTime, walking my dogs, cuddling with my cat, and spending time with loved ones. I'm really looking forward to working with you and supporting you on your path to healing and personal growth.
