Brittany C., LCMHCA, APTT-C

Do you find yourself feeling alone, unmotivated or overwhelmed? Are you struggling to cope with life’s challenges, relationship issues, or daily stressors? Moving through a crisis? I aim to offer you a warm, nonjudgmental, and safe space where you do not feel alone. Some life experiences may be more difficult to cope with, which can result in challenging symptoms related to your emotional well-being and overall health. If you are ready to begin the process of healing and personal growth, I am here to help you now. I am here to help you to feel empowered to make sense of your life while processing past and present difficulties.

I offer holistic and evidence-based approaches to tailor treatment to your unique needs. These approaches may include cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, solution focused therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, strengths-based therapy, and trauma-informed therapy.

My passion is helping those experiencing challenges with trauma/PTSD, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, identity development, women’s issues, and stress. I have experience working with individuals, families, and couples from a variety of diverse backgrounds, ages, and cultures. I am here to serve as a source of support in your efforts to achieve healthy mental and emotional functioning. I will approach my involvement in your mental health with compassion and respect.

I want to work together to help you find hope and happiness again, because your life is worth it.

My Experience

I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke with a Master of Arts in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have been providing counseling to individuals, children, adolescents, and families in mental health and substance abuse settings. Lastly, I am an Associate Partner Trauma Therapist Candidate (APTT-C) on track to hold a specialty credential as a Certified Partner Trauma Therapist (CPTT) for those who have experienced betrayal trauma.

When I'm not in therapist mode, I'm...

enjoying time with my fur babies, friends, cooking, and traveling. I am originally from New York, but I’ve made Charlotte my home.
